About 1349
1349 are a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 1997. Their name refers to the year the Black Death reached Norway, and they are known for the albums Liberation, Beyond the Apocalypse and Hellfire.
In 2006, 1349 toured with Celtic Frost on the Monotheist tour. They later returned several times to Inferno Metal Festival and also performed at Wacken Open Air.
