Mircea Baniciu Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Mircea Baniciu is a Romanian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Timișoara in 1949, whose folk-rock work is closely associated with Phoenix and Pasărea Colibri. He sang on Phoenix albums including Mugur de fluier and Cantafabule, and his best-known songs include “Andrii Popa,” “Vara la țară” and “Tristeți provinciale.”

After joining Phoenix in 1971, Baniciu performed with the group through its major Romanian concert years of the 1970s and later took part in reunion appearances. In 1992 he became a founding member of Pasărea Colibri, bringing his Phoenix repertoire and solo songs into the folk supergroup’s concerts with Florian Pittiș and Mircea Vintilă.
