About Pinback
Pinback is an American indie-rock band formed in San Diego in 1998 by Rob Crow and Armistead Burwell Smith IV, known as Zach Smith. Intricate bass lines, restrained vocals and electronic textures shape albums including Blue Screen Life, Summer in Abaddon and Autumn of the Seraph; “Penelope,” “Fortress” and “Good to Sea” are among the band’s best-known songs.
In 2014, Pinback marked the tenth anniversary of Summer in Abaddon by touring and performing the album in full. Their club and theatre concerts use a full-band setup centered on the interlocking vocals, bass and guitar parts of Rob Crow and Zach Smith.
