About The Helio Sequence
The Helio Sequence is an American indie-rock duo formed in Beaverton, Oregon, in 1996 by singer-guitarist Brandon Summers and drummer-keyboardist Benjamin Weikel. Their music combines guitar rock, electronics and neo-psychedelic textures; the albums Love and Distance and Keep Your Eyes Ahead, including the songs “Lately” and “Can’t Say No,” are central to their catalogue.
The Helio Sequence toured as a two-person band, with Summers handling vocals and guitar while Weikel played drums and keyboards, supported by loops and electronic parts. Tours behind Love and Distance and Keep Your Eyes Ahead brought that setup to clubs and theatres, while festival appearances included Coachella and Sasquatch! Music Festival.
