About The Sea and Cake
The Sea and Cake are an American indie rock band formed in Chicago in 1994 by singer-guitarist Sam Prekop, guitarist Archer Prewitt, bassist Eric Claridge and drummer-producer John McEntire. Their music pairs restrained guitar pop with jazz-informed playing and electronic detail; key albums include Nassau, The Fawn, Oui and Runner.
The band performed at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago in 2007. Six years later, the touring cycle for Runner included an appearance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
